Maximo at a Nuclear Power Plant
MRO's customer is a company which provides electricity, fuel and related services to households and industry in the Nordic countries.
In order to improve the efficiency and rigour of maintenance operations, the customer has adopted MRO's Maximo software solution, integrated with planning software from PrimaVera. MRO's Professional Services were commissioned to customise and deploy the Maximo suite. Macaw consultants, with their knowledge of Maximo, WebLogic and Oracle 9i, have been involved in the customization of the Maximo Purchasing and Work Order modules in order to meet the specific requirements of the customer - and in developing enhancements to the Maintenance modules to match the customer's equipment and location models, adding fields and logic.
Maximo in the Transportation Sector
Tube Lines works in partnership with London Underground to modernise the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly lines. Under the thirty-year public-private partnership (PPP), Tube Lines are responsible for the maintenance, renewals and upgrades of the infrastructure including track, trains, signals and stations.
MRO's Maximo is a key component of an integrated enterprise solution to replace a range of legacy systems.
Macaw staff worked extensively with MRO and other third party implementation suppliers in:
- java code development to customise Maximo for linear assets
- using PL/SQL to develop load scripts to perform Data Migration
- the development of MS Access databases to extract from the legacy systems ~ and load migration staging databases
- business process modelling, requirements analysis and specification for customisations to the Maximo product
- the change management of Maximo product configuration and releases.
